March 6, 2008 - The DISCUS staff is looking forward to being part of the action at the annual conference of the South Carolina Association of School Librarians (SCASL) on March 12-14 in Columbia. Conference participants will have opportunities, in both the exhibit hall and in breakout sessions, to learn more about DISCUS and other South Carolina State Library services that are targeted to the K-12 community.

January 2, 2008 – Need to sharpen your DISCUS skills?  Want to learn more about the new databases that will be available through the program later this month?  Whether you need a quick online refresher from the convenience of your own desktop personal computer or a more in-depth training session on one of our newest databases, the spring 2008 training schedule has it all.

November 6, 2007 -- DISCUS was a major player at South Carolina EdTech 2007, a statewide conference held Oct. 24-26 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.  Sponsored by the South Carolina Association for Educational Technology (SCAET), the conference provided professional development opportunities for the state’s educational community to assist them in integrating technology into their instruction.
