March 6, 2008 - The DISCUS staff is looking forward to being part of the action at the annual conference of the South Carolina Association of School Librarians (SCASL) on March 12-14 in Columbia. Conference participants will have opportunities, in both the exhibit hall and in breakout sessions, to learn more about DISCUS and other South Carolina State Library services that are targeted to the K-12 community. If you're planning to be at the conference, please come by the State Library's exhibit booth where you will find helpful brochures and other important information to assist you in your media center. Knowledgeable staff will be available to answer questions and receive feedback about State Library services. In addition to receiving updates about the DISCUS program, you can learn about the Talking Book Services and hear firsthand about SchoolRooms, an exciting new product being offered by the State Library for public and school libraries. To learn more about what's new with DISCUS, please plan to attend this breakout session: Showing the Power of DISCUS - South Carolina's Virtual Library! In addition, you may want to learn more about SchoolRooms by attending the following breakout session: Introduction to SchoolRooms We look forward to seeing you at both of these informative sessions. And don't forget to stop by the State Library booth as you explore the exhibit hall! Your feedback, suggestions and comments are welcome and contribute greatly to the success of DISCUS and other State Library programs and services. See you at the SCASL conference! |
