November 12, 2008 - DISCUS was represented once again at the South Carolina State Library's exhibit booth at the EdTech Conference in Myrtle Beach.  The annual conference, held this year on November 5-7, provided a wonderful sharing and learning environment for South Carolina's professional educational community.  EdTech is planned and coordinated by the South Carolina Association for Educational Technology (SCAET) and is attended by those involved in education throughout the state.  The conference theme of "Rock On!" expressed enthusiastic encouragement for the advancement of technology in education.

In addition to the DISCUS staff, the State Library's booth also included staff involved in the implementation of SchoolRooms, the new K-12 learning portal for South Carolina students.  EdTech provided the ideal opportunity to share information about these two valuable programs for South Carolina schools.  It was a pleasure to meet and greet everyone who stopped at the booth and to hear the upbeat enthusiasm for both DISCUS and SchoolRooms!
